Over the past few years we’ve been working towards creating a safer, healthier home. When we started using Young Living Essential Oils in 2014, we realized quickly it was good place to learn more about, not only bringing the oils into our environment, but getting harmful and toxic chemicals out. Switching out our everyday cleaner was easier. We swapped out Thieves Household Cleaner for everything! No more 409, no more Windex, or Clorox wipes, no more Swiffer pads. Out! I was happy to ditch those products, and the yuck that comes with them. Quickly to follow was swapping out laundry detergent. It is very empowering to know you are helping your family so easily and immensely beneficially. It was a no brainer to start ditching and switching everything we possibly could, Deodorants, soaps, toothpastes, shampoo…. Then one summer, I started researching healthier sunscreen and make-up. I wasn’t really liking my options and (at that point) Young Living didn’t have them. Ironically enough, that summer when we went to the YL International Grand Convention and what did they announce as new products??? Both mineral sunscreen and Savvy Minerals Make-Up. I nearly jumped out of my seat. It was really good day! That meant my daughter didn’t have to use make-up that could be dangerous to her. Isn’t it awesome to be able to offer a healthy lifestyle for our kids?!
